Bridgeview Blue Moon 2007 Riesling – Wine Review

Bridgeview Vineyards and Winery is located in the Illinois Valley of southern Oregon. This family owned and operated vineyard and winery uses viticulture practices from Europe, and the results have indeed been impressive. Their European approach to growing grapes and producing wine has brought them into prominence in the world of wine in Oregon. They are now one of the largest producers of wine in the state. Their line of Blue Moon wines has gone outside of the parameters of wineries by using blue bottles for their wine.
In sampling the Bridgeview Blue Moon 2007 Riesling, the wine has a nice golden color to it, with aromas of apricots, apples, and honeysuckle. In the mouth the flavors of apples, apricots, a hint of spice, and minerality make this a very nice and easy to drink wine. This is a semi-sweet Riesling, it is well balanced, and has a nice finish. I paired this with Gouda cheese, and the two went together well.
